Praying for Election Day

Are you a leftist? A right-winger? A libertarian? Conservative, Moderate? Progressive?

Labels abound, especially in the political climate surrounding the USA Election Day.

A friend recently sent me the Ecclesiastes 10:2. scripture, “A wise man’s heart directs him toward the right, but the foolish man’s heart directs him toward the left.”

Those of us who insist on the inerrancy of Scripture, on the principles of right and wrong, used to be referred to as conservatives; those who pride themselves on their “broad tent” of tolerance were called “liberal.”

Now anybody who is pro-life, who upholds the Ten Commandments, who believes in marriage as being between a man and a woman—all such pillars of society– is being touted as a “right-wing extremist.”

Leftists, on the other hand, hide their leanings toward anarchy behind the forward-sounding label of “progressive.”

Franklin Grahm wrote on his Facebook page this week that “the word Progressive is just a way to try to make secular and godlessness sound better and more up-to-date.”  As he was going to vote early in the Presidential election, he was approached by a woman who asked him if he wanted a list of the “progressive” candidates.

“I told her no thank you,” Graham wrote. “I told this lady that Progressives are for the most part atheists—and they’re not going to stand for God’s laws and for His direction in our country. Beware, and be sure to know what you are voting for and who you are voting for.”

Here are some prayer pointers for tomorrow’s Election Day:

~PRAY for GOD’S HAND to expose & override all corruption, fraud and tampering with voting machines. Pray the election isn’t highjacked through illegal voting or hacked with data manipulation.

~PRAY against acts of terrorism that would enable the present Administration to interfere before, during or after the elections.

~PRAY no government agency can muzzle truth concerning the long list of Clinton scandals.

~PRAY for apathetic professing Christians to shake off lies and media manipulation to vote the pro-life party platform. Thank you!

~PRAY for God’s hand over the Electoral College map. The pundits think they have it all figured out but God is continually a God of surprises.

~PRAY for believers to continue to stand on the promise of 2 Chronicles 7:14 that if we will humble ourselves, pray, turn from our wicked ways and seek his face, he will hear from heaven, forgive our sin and heal our land!

~PRAY for the party to win that will keep its promises to Israel.  An intercessory friend wrote, I’m voting for the candidates who have vowed to support Israel at any cost. Who profess, by the word of their mouth, that God who chose Jerusalem as the ONLY true and living God. Who recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s eternal capital and will move the US embassy to Jerusalem. It’s a do or die situation for the United States when it comes to Israel, so vote wisely!”
Indeed, the God of Israel whom we worship says, “I will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who treat Israel with contempt. And all the families of the earth will be blessed through Israel.” Genesis 12:3

We received this beautiful word via email on Election Day from Nancy Slocum:

“I am sweeping through this nation of America to re-establish a governance of My people for the people of this land. The pendulum is swinging back the other way. Enough of the current corruption in this land!

“I am dropping a plumb line for righteousness to be the rule of this land once again. I have heard the cries and prayers of My people. I am pricking the conscience of My people to wake up, stand up, speak up, and do the right thing.

“ASK ME FOR THIS NATION! Decree a thing, and it shall be established. You have the words of life in your mouth. I have given you all power, dominion, and authority to speak in agreement with My Word. Choose life. Choose this day who you shall serve.

“No more playing small or silent. Your forefathers did not. They took their stand on My Word. This country was founded on godly principles of righteousness and love for Me. That is why I love America, the land of the free and the brave.

“I will not let this nation go down in ruin and neither shall you! Your forefathers pledged their sacred honor and sacrificed their all for this fine country. Will you?

“Once again I am calling My people who are called by My name to humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14-16 NKJV.

“Let your voice be heard as you bow your knee and heart and humble yourself under My mighty right hand and I will turn this nation around and let freedom ring throughout this nation once again. Yes! I will make this nation great again as it stands for Me and My righteousness. Blessed, and I say to you again, Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance. Psalm 33:12 NKJV.

“Take your rightful righteous stand under My mighty right hand and rule and reign with Me! I have given you all power in the name of Jesus, and I will enforce the choice and declaration you make.

“I say to you once again, ASK ME FOR THIS NATION, AND I WILL GIVE IT TO YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS!”
