“When evening comes, you say, ‘The weather will be fair, for the sky is red,’ and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but not the signs of the times.” (Matthew 16: 2-3)

UPDATED 3 SEPTEMBER 2021:
MUSINGS ONLY. “The day or hour no man knows.” The Feast of Trumpets date is the only ambiguous date of the LORD’s appointed festivals due to the necessity of the Jews to sight the new moon. The end of the Feast of Trumpets is therefore ambiguous for the same reason. The festival is listed for two days on our modern calendars to allow for the sighting of the new moon sliver. The last trump would be at twilight in Israel at the end of whichever day it turns out to be–September 6, 7, 8 this year? Definition of twilight: a period or state of obscurity, ambiguity. The first rays of twilight could be compared to the twinkling of an eye. The Feast of Trumpets in Hebrew was first called by God “Zichron Teruah” [a Memorial of Blowing Trumpets} in Leviticus 23: 24 and in Numbers 29: 1 it is called #YomTeruah יום תרועה meaning foremost Day of SHOUT or trumpet blast. Rabbi Shaul, aka the Apostle Paul, revealed in the New Testament, “Behold, Listen very carefully, I tell you a mystery [a secret truth decreed by God and previously hidden, but now revealed]; we will not all sleep [in death], but we will all be [completely] changed [wondrously transformed], in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at [the sound of] the last trumpet call. For a trumpet will sound, and the dead [who believed in Messiah] will be raised imperishable, and we will be [completely] changed [wondrously transformed].” (1 Corinthians 15: 51-52 Amplified) This revelation of the Rapture (a Latinized word for the “catching away”) was also described by Paul in 1 Thessalonians 4: 15-18, “By the word of the Lord, we declare to you that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who have fallen asleep. [died] For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a SHOUT, with the VOICE of an archangel, and with the TRUMPET [shofar] of God, and the dead in Messiah will be the first to rise. After that, we who are alive and remain will be CAUGHT UP [raptured, translated] together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.”
As the Intercessors for Israel website mentions, Israel is the only nation which actually keeps the biblical calendar of God!  The Hebrew Year 5782 begins at sundown on Monday, 6 September 2021 and ends at nightfall on Wednesday, 8 September 2021.

As believers we’re supposed to discern and understand the times!
We’re presently living in a great paradigm shift in which God is changing times and seasons!

In Daniel 2: 21 it’s revealed that the Almighty God “changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.”

More pieces of the End-time puzzle are falling into place.

As I write, unspeakable atrocities are happening in Afghanistan as the ruthless Taliban have taken over. Bible scholar Dr. Andy Woods stated this week that Israel’s future invader known as Magog described in the Ezekiel War includes the “stans,” including Afghanistan.

Christian organizations are having to act like the U.S. Department of Defence in Afghanistan in place of a weak American government.
Furthermore, tied in with the prophesied Magog invasion, the Israel Defense Forces says plans are being accelerated for a possible strike on Iran’s nuclear program.

Meanwhile in Israel, the fall feasts of the Lord come very early this year. Sometimes God comes earlier but he’s never late–the Almighty is always precisely on time!
The Levitical feasts are the backbone of Bible prophecy like a grid sheet.
Two days are set aside for the Feast of Trumpets so there will be enough time to sight the new moon. Thus the Feast of Trumpets is sometimes referred to as “the day or hour that no man knows.” For example, one year it was impossible to sight the new moon because of a big sand storm in the atmosphere.
In the original Hebrew of Leviticus 23: 24 the holiday of the Feast of Trumpets is called Yom Teruah, meaning a loud shout or an alarm like a trumpet blast. We don’t foolishly set dates but every year as the Feast of Trumpets comes around, I become especially alert because scripture does seem to link the rapture of the church with the Feast of Trumpets. Why do we say this? The Apostle Paul wrote in first Thessalonians 4 that the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a SHOUT, with the VOICE of the archangel and with the SHOFAR(the trumpet) of God and the dead in Messiah will rise first and then afterward we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.”

While most Israelis are still secular, nevertheless approximately 70% of Israel’s Jewish population fear God enough to fast on Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement.
From today’s Intercessors for Israel prayer points:
  • Lord, You said You would gather Your people and then You would circumcise their hearts. Please do just that at this season with many of Jews whom You have brought home (Deut. 30:4-6).

  • Pour out Your Spirit of grace on Israelis to cry out to You from their heart (Zech. 12:10).

According to the Lord’s Parable of the Fig Tree that he instructed us to learn, we are now in the last generation before Yeshua returns. That means Daniel’s unfulfilled 70th Week, the last Week of seven years during the Great Tribulation before Yeshua returns back to earth, cannot be far off.
As Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the Age?” And Yeshua answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you!” (Matthew 24)
“Now learn this parable from the fig tree (Israel): When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near, at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away until all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Words will by no means pass away.” (Matthew 24:32-35)
We must wake up to the fact that Jesus plainly said the generation that sees the fig tree (Israel) budding will see his coming.

Richard Honorof who ministers in Jerusalem wrote this week asking,

“How long is a generation? Psalm 90:10 says that the days of our lives are seventy years, and if by reason of strength they are eighty years. Israel became a nation on May 14, 1948. 70 years ended on May 14th, 2018, and 80 years will end May 14th in 2028. Since we are now in 2021, and 2028 is only 7 years away. God is busy shaking everything on the earth in preparation for His Son Yeshua’s soon return.

For the God of Heaven is in total charge and in absolute control over all things on this earth. His Blood has paid the full price for all our Salvations, and our healing, and our total health.
“Daniel 9:24 – 27 talks about the 70 Weeks of years, with the last Week of seven years just about to begin, the last 7 years for this planet before our Lord returns. And during the last 3 1/2 years of those 7 years of great Tribulation, it says in Daniel 9:27 that the anti Christ will reign from the Jerusalem Temple over all the earth.

“So the Jerusalem Temple must soon be built by the Orthodox religious Jews, and also up and operating.”

Many eschatologists agree with me that there has never been a more opportune and desperate time to spread the Gospel.
