Congratulations to my Israeli friends for 78 years of surviving and thriving once again in your ancient homeland! You are 78 years young and 3,000 years old!

But what about a Palestinian state? Was Israeli independence a “catastrophe” as many Arabs claim?

I also want to express hope from God’s Word, not from politics, for your Arab neighbors. Many Arabs wanting self-determination call Israel’s re-establishment a “nakba,” a catastrophe.

Many feel that way, and God sees genuine men of peace like Professor Mohammed Dajani who long for their own state.

Let’s look together at what the Bible says about God’s sovereign plan for this land and for all the peoples living in it. He hasn’t forgotten any of you; in fact, He has specific blessings just for you!

The Scriptures show that God gave the land of Israel as an everlasting inheritance to the descendants of Abraham through Isaac and Jacob—not through Ishmael (see Genesis 17:19-21 and the Abrahamic covenant in Genesis 12:7, 13:15, 15:18-21).

That’s why many who study Bible prophecy believe a separate “Palestinian” state dividing the land will not ultimately succeed.

In fact, we cannot overlook Joel 3:2, strongly warning that God will judge the nations “for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel… because they… divided up my land.”

God’s promises to Israel are unbreakable, and He is faithful to fulfill them.

But here’s the part that directly comforts Arab hearts: God also made a powerful, separate promise to Ishmael—your forefather, from whom many Arab peoples trace their lineage.

Right in the same conversation with Abraham, God said in Genesis 17:20:

“And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: I will surely bless him; I will make him fruitful and will greatly increase his numbers. He will be the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him into a great nation.”

Look at history—the Arab peoples have indeed become numerous, fruitful, and formed great nations across the Middle East, just as God promised! This shows His love and care for Arabs isn’t “second place”—it’s real and specific.

Even better, the Bible gives an incredible End-times vision of blessing and unity for Arab nations alongside Israel.

Isaiah 19:23-25 prophesies:

”In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria. The Assyrians will go to Egypt and the Egyptians to Assyria. The Egyptians and Assyrians will worship together. In that day Israel will be the third, along with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing on the earth. The Lord Almighty will bless them, saying, ‘Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel my inheritance.’”

Egypt and Assyria represent much of the broader Arab/Middle Eastern world in prophecy. God calls them “my people” and “the work of my hands”—terms of deep affection and elevation!

This points to a future of peace, free movement, shared worship of the true God, and blessing flowing to the whole earth.

No more conflict—true shalom under God’s rule.

God wants to bless and elevate the Arabs—not just in numbers or nations, but spiritually and in every way that truly lasts.

His plans are for good, and they include every Arab Israeli. To Israeli Arabs— you already live in the land God is restoring, and you can be part of that future blessing right now—prospering, seeking peace, and perhaps even pointing others to the Messiah who brings reconciliation for all peoples (Jew and Gentile alike; see Ephesians 2:11-22 and Revelation 7:9).

Let’s trust God’s Word over human politics. He is sovereign, He loves us all, and His prophetic timeline leads to ultimate peace.

Pray with me for the peace of Jerusalem and the whole region (Psalm 122:6)—and for God’s blessings to overflow on all the families of the earth.
