Jesus is coming for his Bride (all born-again believers) but Satan knows he must cover-up the Rapture event with a lie. Thus all the UFO talk and suggestions of alien abductions.

Meanwhile, my husband and I were taken aback that a reputable journal such as The Jerusalem Post would publish the following science fiction headline August 3:

Aliens will destroy Earth in a matter of months, TikTok ‘time traveler’ claims

An alien by the name of “The Vanguard” will arrive on Earth to warn the human race of imminent destruction.

The article concerns a TikTok creator purporting to be a time-traveler from the future posting a video to the social media platform: “I am a real-time traveler [and] I am going to tell you how the world will end.” The article was published with artwork depicting alien UFOs attacking Earth. The “time traveler” prophesied that on October 3rd of this year, an alien by the name of “The Vanguard” will arrive on Earth to warn the human race of imminent destruction because “humans have become too advanced for comfort.” The Vanguard will arrive ahead of an alien society known as “The Distants” who “created the pyramids, which they placed on Earth in order to mark it as theirs.” “The Vanguard will warn us, and bring 12,000 people to another inhabitable planet, called Kepler-186f,” wrote the science fiction time-traveler.

My husband said to me, “I had to read this headline twice and check the date just to be sure this was not an April Fools’ article.”

Why should we be surprised?  Whether The Jerusalem Post staff writer is aware or not, this false prophesy is just the sort of UFO fantasy that is preparing the minds of the world to explain away the Biblical doctrine of the Rapture–the sudden disappearance of millions of believers when the Lord Jesus comes for us in the atmosphere, as promised in John 14, to take us to His Father’s house in heaven.

The word Rapture does not appear in English translations of the Bible, but it is derived from a word in the Latin Vulgate Bible for “caught up,” harpazó in the Greek New Testament, as described by the Apostle Paul in 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18:

The Return of the Lord

13Brothers, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you will not grieve like the rest, who are without hope. 14For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, we also believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him.

15By the word of the Lord, we declare to you that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who have fallen asleep. 16For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first to rise. 17After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.

18Therefore encourage one another with these words.

Sadly, the TikToker is part of the great delusion that the Bible predicted would happen in the End Times. The Bible explains why God is sending a strong delusion: “They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness” (2 Thessalonians 2:10-12), emphases mine.

A Facebook friend commented on The Jerusalem Post article, “My wife and I remember walking in a small town in New England over 30 years ago and there was a book in a new age bookstore window that stated that UFOs or aliens would take away a large group of people to re-educate them.”

Another Christian friend commented, “The Left is already cooking up ideas on how believers will disappear. Climate Change is a favorite, aliens, anything they can think up. But it will be GOD! taking His children home in the Rapture to be with him forever! Come, Lord Jesus.”

Maranatha! Amen!
