Many intercessors are wondering how we should pray for Israel in light of the ongoing peace accords between Israel and her Arab neighbours in the Gulf initiated by president Trump’s Administration. And what about the plans to put on hold announcing Israel’s sovereignty over Judea and Samara?

One intercessor asked me, Does God have a special message for the world at this time? The Bible answers, YES!

As intercessors we must stay on the cutting edge, ahead of the curve, so to speak, concerning current events, especially in light of  the Rapture and the Lord’s Second Coming to earth when he will directly intervene in world affairs.

I was absolutely thrilled to watch Israel making an accord with her Gulf neighbours. I could think of all of the positive reasons to rejoice. We saw unfolding before us God’s vision of the Isaiah Chapter 19 highway in the region stretching from Egypt through Israel all the way up to biblical Assyria. The whole region will dwell in peace and be a blessing in the midst of the earth under Messiah’s future rule.

I could also see unfolding Ezekiel 38: 13 concerning the biblical territory of Sheba and Dedan as well as other verses concerning Arabia’s salvation and acknowledgment of the Saviour, such as Isaiah 60: 6-7.  All of this is good. All of this is tremendously hopeful.

The speeches were a blessing to hear as well. I was particularly touched by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s comment, when he spoke from the balcony of the White House, “Those who bear the wounds of war cherish the bonds of peace.”

The words of Jesus, the Prince of Peace, rung in our ears as we witnessed the signing of the Abraham Accords, “Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God.” (Matthew 5: 9)

Nevertheless it is a double-edged situation, because true intercessors in this hour know what the Bible teaches…..that eventually such a “covenant with many will be confirmed” by the Antichrist. That End-time prophecy is recorded for all to read in Daniel 9:27.

Therefore every intercessor should be concerned with the whole counsel of God. Teaching on the Time of Jacob’s Trouble in the Latter Days is badly needed. While we certainly applaud peace makers rather than war mongers, evangelical believers must pray especially for Israel and for our western law-makers who are involved in trying to make deals —to know God Almighty’s counsel  concerning these matters. We must pray that they, like the Children of Issachar in the Bible, will understand the times and know what Israel should do. (1 Chronicles 12: 32)

Bottom line: Any deal that divides the land of Israel into a two-state solution and that attempts to manipulate Israel’s capital of Jerusalem will be condemned by God and will bring judgment.

Concerning these warnings, God says:

“I will gather the armies of the world into the valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will judge them for harming my people, my special possession, for scattering my people among the nations, and for dividing up my land.” (Joel 3: 2 New Living Translation)

Zechariah 12: 1-3 describes God’s coming deliverance of Jerusalem. This is the Lord’s great warning to peace makers that his roadmap to peace concerns not carving up the Holy Land, Eretz Yisrael, the Land of Israel, and not tampering with his holy city Jerusalem:

“This is the burden of the word of the LORD concerning Israel.

Thus declares the LORD, who stretches out the heavens and lays the foundation of the earth, who forms the spirit of man within him:

“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples. Judah will be besieged, as well as Jerusalem.

On that day, when all the nations of the earth gather against her, I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who would heave it away will be severely injured.”

At the time of the Abraham Accords Signing Ceremony in Washington, my latest book, “Appointment in Petra,” was published 15 September 2020 on Amazon Kindle. My intention had been to publish the manuscript prior to the Feast of Trumpets–just in case the Rapture happens—because I wanted to leave a legacy for the Jewish people!

But God truly sees the big picture, because he also surprised me with the timing of the e-book’s publication— converging with the Abraham Accords Signing Ceremony! I had not planned that.

It was indeed awesome to watch Israel normalize relations with the United Arab Emirates. Nevertheless, the message I am hoping to share with Israel and the world is that peace covenants will be broken, especially by the Antichrist when he is revealed in the future. Therefore my book and my message at this time concern the triumph of King Messiah’s return. To order the book, CLICK HERE.

Only Jesus, Yeshua HaMasiach, can bring genuine and lasting peace.

Scriptures strongly hint at Petra in the present nation of Jordan being the stronghold where the Israeli nation will flee after the prophesied abomination of desolation— the sacrilegious object that causes desecration that will be set up in the rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. (Daniel 9:27) This abominable desecration is prophesied to occur in the very Last Days before the Second Coming of Jesus, when He will return to take possession of the ancestral throne of his father David. The Lord’s reign on earth will be a vindication of his messiahship and will last a thousand years. (Revelation 20) That is why his future reign is referred to as the Millennium by theologians and scholars.

Prophecies currently being fulfilled in the Middle East concern everybody because the history of humanity is dependent upon the outcome.

The best safeguard against false teaching is the regular study of the Word of God, with prayer for the teaching of the Holy Spirit as we study. The Bible was given to be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Neglect of the Bible makes anybody susceptible to deception.
