The Night of Power!
This Friday evening is an especially spiritual night in the Muslim calendar during the month of Ramadan—and faithful intercessors know this right well!
The Muslim world is particularly open, anticipating miracles on this night.
That makes this Friday 5 April 2024 a special fasting day on behalf of souls because it is “The Night of Destiny” during the final days of Ramadan, in Arabic Laylat al-Qadr, the Night of Power.
Over 1.9 billion Muslims—almost 25 percent of the world’s population—attempt to earn Allah’s mercy, hoping to attain forgiveness for their sins. Yet Islam like most religions offers no assurance of salvation.
Only the Gospel of Jesus Christ offers eternal security for anybody who is willing to put their trust in the Redeemer, Yeshua the Messiah.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3: 16)
Islam must hear the true Gospel of Christ’s message. Jesus is a complete Saviour. He didn’t come to earth to be a warlord, a philosopher, or a mentor of morality. He came to save sinners. He accomplished what we are incapable of doing—He came to remove and to take away our sin as the Lamb of God. That’s why Jesus is the world’s only Saviour.
Various ministries are putting out a call at this strategic time for prayer, and I can’t emphasize enough how important is our ministry’s EVERY FRIDAY FAST— to add fasting to our prayers especially this Friday. Why? Because the principality of Islam has been fasted unto for 1400 years, and casual prayer will not make much of a difference.
So as we fast, please consider the following prayer points:
1. Pray for increased supernatural openness of heart to the Gospel among Muslims.
2. Pray for the continuation of the outpouring by the Holy Spirit of dreams and visions in the Muslim world as documented in my book,
3. Pray for brave Christian apologists and polemics such as Al Fadi and Dr. Jay Smith those podcasts are educational and powerful. There are more than 4,000 predominantly-Muslim people groups on earth, 86 percent remain unreached, according to Joshua Project statistics. This means that few, if any, believers reside among these peoples. In many of these areas, political, social, and religious restrictions make it difficult and dangerous for Muslims to hear the gospel.
4. Pray that God would send more laborers into these harvest fields. (Matthew 9:38)
5. Pray for Muslims to understand what God is doing with the restoration of Israel at this time. The apostle Paul persecuted the early church but when he was confronted on the Damascus Road by the Risen Jesus, the Lord told him, “You are kicking against the pricks,” meaning, “You are hurting yourself; it is useless for you to fight against my will.” Therefore pray for the spirit of revelation to help Muslims to understand Bible prophecy. In fact, many Muslims in countries such as Saudi Arabia and the UAE are acknowledging that even the Koran states that the Holy Land belongs to Israel. Pray for voices of reason and reconciliation to be amplified.
6. Pray for opportunities to share the Gospel with our Muslim friends and for the many broadcast ministries, including the Jerusalem Channel, to reach souls in the privacy of their own homes.
7. Pray for Muslim nations where many natural disasters have happened for the Gospel to enter and for the nation of Iran, sponsor of terrorism, to be overcome by a revolutionary move of the Holy Spirit.
