God is absolutely sovereign yet he often waits for His children to petition Him in prayer.

This is why Yeshua taught us to pray for His kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. As intercessors for Israel and our spheres of influence we rejoice that the Lord has given us the authority to use his name in prayer. (John 15:16)

Yet there are times when the sovereign God says he will act unilaterally.

The one question, then, is:

What triggers God?

People are explosive these days and can be easily triggered. I’m cautious to be as polite as possible when navigating traffic on the highway because people are on edge.

But again, my question is not what triggers people but. . . what triggers God?

Is it issues over sin?

Adultery? Abortion? The Epstein files? Homosexuality? Child molestation? Greed and corruption?

While all of those issues are controversial with God, the Bible says nothing triggers God like tampering with his Promised Land.

The Bible is very clear that God promised to regather the Jewish people back to their ancient homeland in the Last Days—not just for their sake but for the sake of HIS holy name. Numerous promises in both the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament state God’s intentions to regather the Jews. As exhibit A, here is just one of many promises in Jeremiah 31: 10, “Hear the word of the Lord, you nations; proclaim it in distant coastlands:
‘He who scattered Israel will gather them
and will watch over his flock like a shepherd.’”

Yet at the same time that this historic and prophetic regathering is taking place, the nations are becoming insanely antisemitic once again.

I was shocked to see news reels about a bull run festival in Spain this month. The main feature of the opening ceremony were people yelling “Free Palestine” and forming a human map of a red Palestinian state. . . without Israel.

An upcoming United Nations conference in New York City next week from July 28-29 is aimed at working to outline a framework for a Palestinian state. The conference is co-hosted by France and Saudi Arabia.

Believe it or not, this is what triggers God.

He states in Joel 3: 2,

God says he is going to enter the fray and judge the nations for carving up the Holy Land which he calls MY land.

Furthermore, God states in Ezekiel 38:18 that in the latter days “My fury will mount up in My anger” when nations attempt to invade the land of Israel. In verse 4, describing the LORD’s great victory over the nations, he predicts that he will deliberately put hooks in the jaws of nations and pull them into his land to judge them there. Persia (Iran) will be one of those nations.

God also states in Zechariah 12: 3 that he will make Israel’s eternal capital Jerusalem become a burdensome heavy stone— and all who try to move it will be ruptured by it:

“On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves.” ~God

Meanwhile, the Trump administration has slammed next week’s conference, urging allies not to attend and warning that nations that participate could face consequences from Washington.

But the real question is—will they face consequences from God Almighty?

An internal U.S. diplomatic cable, reviewed by Reuters, stated, “We are urging governments not to participate in the conference, which we view as counterproductive to ongoing, life-saving efforts to end the war in Gaza and free hostages.”

The U.S. officials added in the cable, “The United States opposes any steps that would unilaterally recognise a conjectural Palestinian state, which adds significant legal and political obstacles to the eventual resolution of the conflict and could coerce Israel during a war, thereby supporting its enemies.”

So to summarize, the main issue that will bring God on the scene is tampering with the land of Israel. The consequences will be judgment. President Macron of France and the hard-line socialists of Spain and many other leaders are endangering their nations from becoming what the Bible calls goat nations. Jesus—Yeshua— described the separation of sheep and goats in Matthew 25: 32-33. In this passage, Yeshua, as the soon-returning Messiah Son of David, will judge all nations, separating people into two groups like a shepherd separates sheep from goats.
