We discover that the apostle Paul used two slightly different quotes from the Messianic Psalm 110:4 to write a Midrash (rabbinic commentary) on the two slightly different Hebrew words for virgin– betulah and almah–both used to describe the same maiden Rebekah– and then Paul applies them to Mary, the biological mother of the Messiah, and in doing so, to the almah reference in the famous prophecy about the Messiah, Isaiah 7:14.
