love your comments about Anna and Simeon! May our Lord preserve same in our day! Mature voices for the young believers will be a blessing to them, as well as an encouragement! There may be little time for Bible studies in those times; it will be spiritual warfare all the way. They will need to know God’s thoughts as reminders where to look in the Word for direction.
I have a constant witness of this apostasy in everyday life , and seen society get more and more evil over the last 15 years , where violence is normalised , I’ve prayed about this consistently , but I’m the only one I know that’s praying about it , most church goers don’t live in poverty stricken areas and are praying only about their own secluded lives – and their families etc , I don’t see institutional church touching the working class life , I’m persistently persecuted by my neighbours for going to church , I’m surrounded by this apostasy physically it’s very much like being in a burning cauldron rather than a melting pot of multi culture , violence spills over regularly , in the neighbour hood mostly in the form of anger shown to strangers and unashamed sexual and verbal blasphemy , it doesn’t surprise me young girls are constantly sexually attacked or young boys are targeted for criminal life , most adults are in poor neighbourhoods are drinking and taking some substance or medical pharmacy to live ( normal ) , but normality went a long time ago , none of these issues are included in the intercession prayers on Sunday , so ignoring feels worse than the actual sins going on right under the wealthier peoples noses , but I guess , they too will feel the full effects of this , around about now , their lives will be blighted as Christians as much as mine had seeing all these horrid openly paraded défilements in public last 15-20 years of my young adult life , for a long time people laughed at me and these issues , but now the problem is completely out of control – and spiralling toward open spiritual degradation – as we see in these public displays sanctioned by law
