This video teaching was produced a few years ago but is being reposted as our featured video for the next 25 hours because of Yom Kippur this year falling on 11-12 October 2016.

The Jerusalem Channel’s Christine Darg gives us a Christian’s understanding of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, the most solemn day on the Hebrew calendar.

Christine explains the Levitical background of this holy day and how it is commemorated in Israel and beyond, and how Jesus of Nazareth fulfilled and will continue to fulfill in the future this great type and shadow of the finished work of the Cross.

Yom Kippur is also, along with the Feast of Trumpets, a type of the Rapture of the Church.

In a sense, every day is a Yom Kippur until Jesus comes, because the Bible teaches “today is the day of salvation!”
