This week we are featuring Bob O’Dell’s Root Source interview with an Orthodox Jewish ambassador to the Christian world. Meet David Nekrutman, one of the first Israeli Jews to dedicate his life to reaching out to Christians!
Bob caught up with this unusual man with an unusual approach, an Orthodox Jewish man who feels called to help Spirit-filled Christians. David truly understands where they are coming from, having spent four years styudying at Oral Roberts University, focusing on the work of the Holy Spirit as understood by Jews. Bob is pleased to offer one of his most personally enjoyable interviews yet!
This is the full video of a 4-part interview with David who is director of the Center for Jewish Christian Understanding and Cooperation. In Part 1, David shares the story of what happened one Shabbat, that changed the direction of his life. In Part 2, David shares the story of moving to Israel and deciding to leave High-Tech to try to change the world with Rabbi Shlomo Riskin. In Part 3, David shares the story of what it was like to study the Bible at Oral Roberts University, specializing in the Holy Spirit! In Part 4, David shares why four years at ORU was worth it to learn these three words and how they shape his daily work with Christians.
David, what is your relationship with the Messianic Jewish community in Israel and in the nations?
Thank you, a great blessing, especially to realize the connection with Rabbi Shlomo Riskin who is a dear friend of our community in Germany,
This is a serious question I have wondered about for a long time. If Jesus said to Nicodemus ” unless a man is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God” and He also said ” I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me”. How are the Jews or anyone else justified if they don’t recognize Jesus as Messiah, how do they enter the Kingdom of God? Like the New Testament says, He is not willing that any should perish.. So what is the fate not only the Jews but anyone?
Thank You for any insight…
