Who cannot be for peace?
But at what price?
Bible prophecy watchers—evangelicals—know that according to the Word of God, true and lasting peace can only be implemented by the returning Prince of Peace (Jesus/Yeshua).
According to a Prophecy News Watch article, for those who follow biblical prophecy, the idea of many nations coming together in a peace agreement with Israel immediately brings to mind the covenant that will be confirmed by the future Antichrist as prophesied in Daniel 9:27:
“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease…”
In Daniel 9:27, the Hebrew word for “covenant” is בְּרִית (pronounced b’rit). This term is commonly used in the Hebrew Bible to refer to a covenant, agreement, or pact, often in the context of a solemn binding agreement between parties, such as between God and His people or between individuals. In Daniel 9:27, the Hebrew word translated as “confirm” is גָּבַר (pronounced gabar). This verb carries the primary meaning of “to be strong,” “to prevail,” or “to make strong.” In the context of this verse, where it is often rendered as “confirm” in relation to a covenant, it implies strengthening, establishing, or making firm an existing agreement or covenant, rather than initiating a new one.
Bible prophecy scholars have long interpreted this important verse as a reference to a future world leader who will not necessarily create a new peace treaty, but will confirm an already existing accord. That word “confirm” implies something already in existence, perhaps partial or tentative, that this leader enforces or finalizes with authority.
Specifically, Daniel’s prophecy says this covenant will be a covenant “with many.” The Abraham Accords were originally signed in 2020 by Israel, the UAE, and Bahrain and later joined by Morocco and Sudan. But a larger expansion is now on the horizon–possibly involving several nations, even Saudi Arabia and Syria.
According to the billboard’s website, abrahamshield.org, Israeli groups hope Trump will renew push for Middle East normalization.

In a rapidly shifting Middle East, a seismic announcement may be on the horizon.
Senior Israeli officials, backed by confirmations from U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff, suggest that several unexpected nations are preparing to join the Abraham Accords. But for students of Bible prophecy, this development raises weightier questions than mere geopolitics.
It all looks so plausible, so good, but the Bible has a different reading of the situation, “For when they say, ‘Peace and safety!’ then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.” (1 Thessalonians 5: 3)
