Following a jihadi massacre in California, many leaders offered prayers for the wounded and for family members in mourning. But a New York newspaper’s cynical front page headline blazed, “God Isn’t Fixing this.” The newspaper described the leaders’ prayers as “meaningless platitudes.” We’re living in an age of cycnism and apostasy that’s increasingly hostile to Christians. Anti-Christian bigotry is even becoming respectable in many places. Prayer shaming is the new tactic of leftists and progressives to pour scorn on Christianity. What should our reaction be as believers?

Christine Darg is not ashamed of the Gospel (Romans 1:16) and maintains that it still IS the power of God for every situation in 2016. The saying is true, “More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of.”
