Many household gifts were donated by our ministry partners. The joy of the Lord was evident in the worship, and Baptist Bishop Naim Khoury also preached on being ready for the Rapture and Second Coming, Our friend Naim can always be counted upon to preach the full counsel of God.
Recently our ministry sponsored another night to honour Christians of the Holy Land. These communities have also been suffering financial losses during wartime.
My husband and I are so very grateful for our ministry partners who sponsored the banquet and the many practical household gifts. Thanks also to Bishop Naim Khoury, pastor of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, and my translator Pastor Sameer Saeed and his wife Jamileh.
During the event I shared on the Gospel puzzle of Bible prophecies concerning the birth of Messiah. Here is a partial transcript of my message:
People of God, you have been suffering many things during the past couple of years. You are experiencing what the Bible calls the birth pains of Messiah. I’ve given birth twice and I know that the pains will become more intense and closer together— so hold on during 2026, the return of Jesus is imminent!
At His first coming, Jesus fulfilled hundreds of ancient prophecies with perfect precision.
He was uniquely born of a virgin in Bethlehem, just as foretold centuries earlier in the Bible by the prophet Isaiah.
He suffered and died for our sins, he was punished for our transgressions (according to Isaiah 53). His hands and feet were pierced according to Psalm 22.
He rose from the dead on the third day, conquering death and offering eternal life to all who believe on Him.
These were the prophecies of a humble Messiah who came to bear our griefs and carry our sorrows—fulfilled exactly in Bethlehem’s manger, riding into Jerusalem on a donkey, dying on a cross and leaven an empty tomb. There are many religious and prophets in this world but only one empty tomb!
However, not all Bible prophecies about Messiah were completed two millennia go.
The Scriptures speak of a Second Coming, when Jesus will return in glory. At his first coming the world saw his humility and humanity.
But soon the whole world will see His eternal great glory. The first time He came to earth his advent was marked by a single bright star.
However, the next time He comes, the full glory of God will shine like glorious lightning filling the entire atmosphere.
The first time Jesus came, he was a helpless baby.
The second time, He will appear suddenly as the sovereign king and judge over all nations.
The first time He came, there was no room for Him in Bethlehem’s inn. Just a few shepherds and wise men recognized and welcomed him.
The next time He comes, every eye will see Him and every knee with bow.
Now I want to share a prophetic puzzle that reveals God’s divine orchestration.
The Bible says the Savior had to be born in Bethlehem according to Micah 5: 2.
The Bible says Messiah had to be a refugee in Egypt. Hosea 11: 1, “I have called my Son out of Egypt.”
Furthermore, the Bible says Messiah had to be called a Nazarene. Although he was born here in Bethlehem, the Savior is known as Jesus of Nazareth.
How could one person fulfill all of this? How could the Saviour be a Bethlehemite, an Egyptian refugee and Nazarene all in one?
Let’s consider the mathematical possibilities.
While exact numbers vary, Christian scholars state that Jesus fulfilled at least 300 Bible prophecies, encompassing his birth, life, ministry, suffering, death, and resurrection.
