When prayer alone may not be enough, Jesus said, “this kind does not come out except by prayer AND fasting.”
Some answers we receive through prayer, others only by adding fasting to our prayers.
Jerusalem Channel presenter Christine Darg encourages us to enroll in the Holy Spirit’s School of Prayer and Fasting.
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christine. I have just started viewing your programs. It’s has been quite interesting to learn about the bible on a deeper level. Your are a very good teacher of the gospel, I always feel the presence of the Holy Spirit when you speak over the air. I don’t trust and believe in a lot of bible teachers and preachers, I am speaking from experience. I just listen to your teaching on fasting and I agree with everything you say but I have one question. I have been on the Daniel fast and also the Ester fast. I have Christian friends as well as unsaved friends and when I’m on a fast I feel the need to tell certain friends that I’m on a fast so as not to entertain them when I should be spending time with God. Also not to upset them for feeling off being ignored. My family also need to know so I can have my personal space especially in the lock down to pray and reasons why I’m not eating. Is it wrong for me to do this?
Dear Sophia, this is Christine commenting in case the website does not indicate. Thanks for your great encouragements. Concerning your question…..yes, we need to use discretion by not saying too much about our fasting activities unto God, as Jesus wisely taught. Sometimes it is unavoidable with family. The Lord gives us wisdom in every situation. The point I hope I was making was not to trumpet our fasting.
Thank you for this confirmation I’ve started a fast and this gives me such encouragement. I ask for your prayers as what I am going through is very difficult but Abba is good and will see me through. Again thank you for your ministry.💗 Shalom
God bless and protect you. The grace of the Lord be with you. Love from Christine Darg
