Shalom Peter and Christina Darg and all your precious Family, Thank you for always being our Almighty God’s clear voice, especially in these days. Thank you for the encouragement and exhortation today to have The Discernment of The Times through The Blessed Holy Spirit.
Thank you for this encouragement!
Thank you so much for this great teaching Christine. Can you explain why the majority of English translations seem to have Daniel 9:24 “seventy weeks”. Out of the translations I have looked up, it seems only the GNB says seventy years. I’ve looked it up in my Hebrew bible too and of course it says “sevaim sevaim” which I understand to be seventy seventy and therefore it t doesn’t actually say weeks or years but from the context one would understand it to be years – and the majority of translations are incorrect to read seventy weeks? I so appreciate your teaching and like to match it up with what my bible says. Usually my ESV is good but seemingly not here? With much appreciation. Barbara
Barbara, the Hebrew does not say 70 70s –the reason I said it this way this time rather than the traditional “weeks” is that Arnold Fructenbaum explained the word is actually the plural of seven, thus 70 sevens.
