Intercessors for Israel Friday Prayer Points

1. Praise:

   In Shabbat’s prophetic portion, Israel angered God when they asked Samuel for a human king to rule them, but God was already their king (1 Sam. 12:16-17). After an out-of-season supernatural weather event, they realized their sin and greatly feared YHWH and Samuel (1 Sam. 12:18). Then Samuel spoke this encouraging statement to Israel as well as to all who are grafted into Israel’s olive tree in Messiah: For YHWH will not forsake His people for His great name’s sake, because it has pleased YHWH to make you His people. (1 Sam. 12:22; cp. Psa. 94:14)

   • Abba Father, we bless You that You desired to make us Your people and chose us to be part of Your Son’s kingdom – for Your name’s sake (Eph. 1:4-6, 11-12, 14; Col. 1:13).
   • Thank You Lord for choosing us, and enabling us to bear much fruit – through prayer (John 15:16).
   • We bless You, the Almighty God of Israel, that You are not in the business of making deals but You do “cut” covenants with Your people (Gen. 15:18) – including the New Covenant that You made with Israel and Judah (Jer. 31:31-34), which now includes many millions of gentiles (Gal. 3:8).
2. External security – Middle East [ME]:

   Early last Sunday, America attacked Iran’s nuclear facilities, including Fordo. So far it looks like this strike destroyed Iran’s nuclear weapons program. Israel’s “Operation Rising Lion” against Iran’s efforts to develop nuclear weapons and build thousands of ballistic missiles, has also been very successful, and opened the way for that American strike. Yet the cost has been steep; Israel aimed at military targets, but Iran sent ballistic missiles and drones at civilian areas, hitting apartment buildings, hospitals, synagogues and even mosques. At the beginning of last week, US President Trump suddenly announced a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran.

   • God of Israel, we praise You for being able to watch You fulfilling Jeremiah 49:35-38 today.
   • Please Lord God, especially fulfill Jeremiah 49:38 completely, by continuing to build Your throne, that is, Your Body, in Iran and by destroying Iran’s current regime (Isa. 55:11).
   • Abba, thank You for removing the immediate threat of an Iranian Shi’ite nuclear bomb from hanging over the heads of Your people whom You are restoring to Your land (Psa. 124:7-8; Nah. 1:5a).
   • Lord of hosts, give Israel divine strategy and tactics to remove the threat of Iran’s remaining ballistic missiles, or its nuclear program if, in fact, either one remains a threat (Psa. 144:1; Prov. 21:30-31).
   • Lord God, release a spirit of paranoia on all remaining Iranian leaders so that they “see” Mossad agents all around them and end up being incapable of trusting each other (Job 4:12-21; Jer. 17:18).
   • Abba, create massive division in the midst of Iran’s government so that it falls (Luke 11:18).
   • Thank You for setting Bibi Netanyahu as Israel’s Prime Minister and Trump as America’s President for just this time (Est. 4:14b; Dan. 2:21), and that both men publically thanked You for helping them protect their nations from Iran’s “Death-to-America,” “Death-to-Israel” plans (Job 5:12; Psa. 26:7).
   • Yet Lord, Trump’s goal to be known as a “man of peace” often distorts his thinking so that he says and does things that put Israel in a dangerous position, so hedge him in and have his advisors warn him against treating Israel as if it is just another nation (Ex. 33:16; Num. 23:9b).
   • Also Abba, enable Bibi to be stiff-necked enough to reject all that is not of You (Josh. 1:9).
   • God, if the “ceasefire” that Trump has Israel and Iran agree to is of You – great – but if it is not of You, then cause Iran to openly and repeatedly violate it (Psa. 55:21; Prov. 26:11).
   • Lord God, may You have the final word as to when Israel’s war against Iran ceases (Psa. 46:9).
   • King Yeshua, guide the Iranian Body as they intercede for their nation today (1 Tim. 2:1-4).
   • Use Israel’s and America’s coordinated onslaught against Iran to sever all ties between Iran and Russia, China and North Korea (Eccl. 12:14).
   • God of Israel, reinforce Your angelic hosts to battle alongside Israel’s army and guard Your nation against all of Your, and Israel’s, enemies in the ME (2 Chr. 32:7-8; Psa. 46:7, 11; 55:18; 76:3-6).
   • Arise, Lord, against the Houthis and release Your Angel to fight against them (Psa. 35:1-6; 68:1).
   • Lord God, empower the IDF’s recent attacks against Hizbullah and Iranian agents in Lebanon not just deter their activity, but eliminate it completely (Psa. 44:4; 60:12).
   • Messiah, we thank You that more Israelis and their leaders see Qatar and Turkey as enemy nations who support both Hamas and Iran (Psa. 55:21; 62:4), and we ask the same for leaders in the West.
   • God, let Islam’s extreme pride drag all radical Muslim Jihadists into ruin (Prov. 11:2a; 17:19).
   • Merciful Savior, shame many Muslims as they perceive that Allah is not more powerful than You, Israel’s God, and use that to move them to seek You (Psa. 83:16-18).
3. Foreign relations:

   All reports indicate that Bibi and Trump and their military leaders worked very closely together to destroy Iran’s nuclear weapons program. While this is excellent, still we need to pray in case there is a price that Trump demands from Israel for his part in all this – such as being obedient to everything that he now demands.

   • Lord Yeshua, You reign – regardless of who rules on earth (Isa. 52:7; Matt. 28:18). Hallelujah!
   • Shepherd of Israel, clothe Netanyahu with what he needs to deal biblically, boldly and righteously, with Trump and every other world leader (Psa. 23:1; Isa, 30:21).
   • We again ask You Lord to guide Bibi in his dealings with Trump so that he knows when it is fine to compromise – but also when he needs to stand his ground for Israel’s sake (Psa. 17:4-5; 141:3).
   • Father God, we bless You for the sons and daughters of Zion and of Issachar whom You are raising up in Israel’s diplomatic corps today and ask for many more (1 Chr. 12:32; Job 22:21-22; Isa. 48:17).
   • Lord, use them to share with Westerners, especially their leaders, how most Arabs and Iranians do not view life like those who were raised on a Judeo-Christian foundation (1 Cor. 15:41).
   • Lord Yeshua, draw Christian Zionists alongside Israel’s representatives who will encourage them by sharing Your truth which is revealed in Your Word (Psa. 40:10; 43:3a; 86:1; 98:3; John 17:17).
   • Faithful God, watch over Psalm 33:10-11 concerning the nations’ dealings with Israel.
   • King of Israel, anoint Gideon Sa’ar, Israel’s Foreign Minister, its US Ambassador Dr. Yechiel Leiter and Ron Dermer, Bibi’s special envoy, for Your glory (Prov. 25:13; Jer. 1:8-9).
   • Lord, protect and use Israel’s UN Ambassador Danny Danon as well (Psa. 81:10; 119:13).
   • King of kings, stretch out Your scepter of authority over the UN and its affiliates who seem to curse Israel daily, and silence them (Jer. 10:25; 30:20; Zech. 2:13; Matt. 28:18).
   • Messiah Yeshua, anoint each believer who prays for their nation’s relations with Israel and use those prayers as an opening for Your mercy to fall on their nations (Ezek. 22:30-31: cp. Isa. 60:12).
4. Government & society:

   Usually when Israel faces outside threats, Israelis stand as one. This is basically what we see today, as most Jewish Israelis, and even the political opposition, have supported both Operation Rising Lion and Netanyahu.

   • Thank You Lord for this brief period of unity and somehow cause it to be maintained (Psa. 133:1).
   • God Almighty, open wide many more doors for Israel’s sons and daughters of Zion to become very influential, inside, as well as outside, of Your nation (Prov. 25:11; Eccl. 12:10).
   • Abba Father, continue leading Netanyahu, the security cabinet and the IDF leadership in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake (Psa. 23:3b; Prov. 19:21).
   • Have mercy Lord God and guard over each leader from the devious witchcraft that is being aimed at them from both inside and outside of Israel (Num. 23:23; Mic. 5:2).
   • God, thank You for hearing our prayers for Bibi as despite all that he has endured since Oct. 7th, he still possesses the authority from You that he needs to guide Your nation (Psa. 18:2; 27:1-6).
   • Lord, bring to him godly counselors whose advice he seriously considers (Prov. 11:14; 24:6).
   • Messiah Yeshua, comfort those Israelis who mourn for their loved ones who have been murdered or injured by Iran’s various missile and drone attacks during this war (Isa. 61:3; 63:7-9; Matt. 5:4).
   • King of kings, we ask the same for the long-suffering hostage families (Luke 18:1).
   • God of Jerusalem, rebuke Satan’s manipulation of the hostage situation which deceives many Israelis into thinking that Bibi is responsible for the hostages not being rescued as opposed to Hamas being responsible for seizing and caging them up in the first place (Zech. 3:2).
   • Abba Father, provide everything that is needed for the many Israeli families whose homes have been destroyed by Iran’s missiles (Psa. 23:1-5; 130:7).
   • Loving God, give Israel’s government wisdom concerning how to rebuild the areas in Israel which were destroyed or damaged by the war, including how to disperse funds (Isa. 58:12; 61:4).
5. Operation “Gideon’s Chariots”

   in Gaza against Hamas is still ongoing although while the confrontation against Iran was taking place, this war received fewer headlines.

   • Give us wisdom to pray for this war to end in a way that brings You the glory (Psa. 115:1-3).
   • God Almighty, remove Israel’s reluctance to repossess Gaza, as it is theirs to possess (Judg. 2:1-4).
   • Lord of lords; renew the strength, courage and motivation of the IDF troops in Gaza (Isa. 40:28-31).
   • God Most high, increase Your protection over the IDF against Hamas attacks and traps, kidnapping attempts, and against friendly fire or all other types of accidents (Psa. 4:8; Zech. 9:16; 10:5-8).
   • As the IDF intensifies the war against Hamas, Lord God, let their efforts be super abundantly more effective than what they could even imagine (Ezek. 38:23; Eph. 2:20).
   • Lord of hosts, let Hamas’ pride and hatred of Israel be their downfall (Prov. 16:18; Obad. 1:3-4, 8).
   • Abba, some Israelis are saying that because Hamas is weak, let’s make a deal to get the hostages back and stop the war, but we pray that since Hamas is weak, Israel will press on and gain a total victory by destroying Hamas, rescuing the hostages and repossessing all of Gaza (Psa. 18:37-40).
   • Thank You for leading the IDF to find three more bodies of hostages this past week (Job 12:22).
   • Guide them to find and rescue the remaining 50 hostages, some of whom are still alive (Job 28:11b).
   • Do not allow Hamas to accept a ceasefire/hostage deal that blocks a total Israeli victory (Psa. 44:5).
6. Internal security:

   Both the extension of Israeli sovereignty over all of its land west of the Jordan River and the “obliteration” of the terrorist groups throughout that area remain our burdens in prayer concerning Israel’s internal security.

   • Lord God, move upon Israel to possess more of its land today as You who own the land (Lev. 25:23; Ezek. 36:5) have gifted it to them – for Your holy name’s sake (Psa. 105:7-11).
   • God, You are jealous over Your land (Ezek. 36:5-7), so we ask that You also will respond to all such plans to divide Your land and create a “Palestine” in such a way that nations who are pushing this see that You are also pushing them – deeper into Your Valley of Judgment (Joel 3:1-2).
   • Lord, lead believers in these nations to read Isaiah 60:12 and then plead for mercy (Ezek. 30-31).
   • We thank You for using the horrific events of Oct. 7th to, for the most part, kill the concept of a “two-state solution” in the minds and hearts of most Israelis (Rom. 8:28).
   • God of Abraham, do not let anything stop Israel’s plans for the establishment – or in some cases, the reestablishment – of 22 new communities in Judea and Samaria (Jer. 31:3-5; 32:41-44).
   • Lord God, continue using Finance Minister Smotrich and Defense Minister Katz to increase the planting of Israeli facts on the ground firmly in Judea and Samaria (Amos 9:14-15).
   • Lord, direct Israel to rebuild its north more securely and more populously (Isa. 54:2-3; Eccl. 3:3b).
   • Lord of hosts, as You say in Exodus, go out with Israel’s army against its enemies in the land, and release Your fear to go before the IDF (23:27); send hornets after Your enemies (23:28); drive out Israel’s enemies (23:30); and expand its land to be in one accord with Your vision of what the Promised Land encompasses (23:31-33).
   • Lion of Judah, please anoint the IDF to fulfill Numbers 24:8-9 in Judea and Samaria (Psa. 125:3).
   • Guide armed civilians to the right place at the right time to help stop terrorist attacks (Josh. 4:12).
7. Aliyah:

   If read in context, we see that God answers prayers for all Israel to be saved (Jer. 31:7b) by aliyah – bringing them home to the land which He has promised to them (31:8-10)!

   • Lord God of Israel, we bless You for being alive today to watch You gather Your people back home in fulfillment of Your many prophetic promises (Jer. 30:8-10; Zech. 8:1-8).
   • We thank You for the 43,000 or so people who have made aliyah since Oct. 7th, yet as there are still more Jews outside of, rather than in Israel, we ask You, to draw the rest home (Jer. 31:3)!
   • Abba Father, strip Your people of their false hope of life ever returning to a pre-Oct. 7th “normal,” as You are the One releasing Your hunters today (Deut. 30:3-5; Jer. 16:16; Zech. 10:8-9).
   • Lord God Almighty, let the eruption of anti-Israel/anti-Semitic acts, especially in the West, push Jews who never considered making aliyah to immigrate to Israel (Jer. 16:16).
   • Almighty, remove from the Jews the nice-sounding name of where they reside: “the diaspora” [Gk. “scattering”], and replace it with the biblical term: “captivity” (Deut. 30:3; Ezra 2:1; Psa. 126:1-4).
   • Lord, bring home Jews with practical, as well as medical and scientific, skills (Neh. 4:16-18).
   • Lord God, set the Iranian Jewish community free to make aliyah today (Isa. 43:5-7).
   • God Almighty, marry Your people to the land, and let them see that it is a marriage – for better or worse, richer or poorer, in sickness and in health – and not just a love affair (Isa. 62:4-5).
   • Lord God, move upon wealthy Jews and Christians to give abundantly and finance both the aliyah and the successful integration of new immigrants into Israeli society (Ezra 1:4; Isa. 60:9).
8. Salvation:

   Save us, YHWH our God, and gather us from the nations to give thanks to Your holy name, and to triumph in Your praise (Psa. 106:47). This verse links Israel’s salvation with aliyah – and then links both of them to God’s glory, which is the ultimate goal of all salvations!

   • Lord Yeshua, redeem many sons and daughters of Zion in Israel today (Zech. 9:9; 14:1-4).
   • God of Israel, remove the partial blindness that You put on most Jews from Messiah Yeshua‘s day until now, and reveal to them their true Messianic King (Isa. 45:15; Rom. 11:25-26).
   • Precious God, release a “holy dissatisfaction” into the minds and hearts of many Jews and turn their hearts to the whole of the Tanach – and not just the Torah(Psa. 80:3, 7; Jer. 15:16; 2 Tim. 3:15).
   • As modern Jews say they do not need a “mediator” between them and God, let the story in the Torah portion of Aaron standing between the dead and the living to make atonement for Israel (Num. 16:47-48) show them that their teaching does not match up with Your Word (Lev. 4:20; 5:6; 19:22).
   • Abba Father, by Your Spirit and through Your grace (Zech. 4:6-7), save many Holocaust survivors and their families; survivors of terrorism; all living hostages and their loved ones; IDF soldiers and their families; loved ones of soldiers killed or wounded; widows, widowers, orphans; rabbis in Israel and exile; Israeli politicians, judges, lawyers, diplomats; Jewish university students in Israel and in exile; professors, teachers, medical personnel; Jews on their death beds; Israeli media personalities, tour guides and archeologists; Israelis living in exile; Jews who have recently made aliyah; Jewish hippies, LGBTQ+ and new agers; Jews in Iran, Turkey, Ethiopia, India, and China; Spanish and Portuguese speaking Jews; and unsaved loved ones of Messianic Jews. Thank You Lord.
9. Body of Messiah:

   To pray in unity with Abba‘s will today, we need to see how He is preparing the way for King Messiah’s return. The two main ways He is doing that is sending the good news of Messiah Yeshua to the ends of the earth, and from the ends of the earth, restoring the Jews to their land to be saved by their Lord (Zech. 12:1-10, 14:1-4; Matt. 23:39).

   • Abba Father, reveal to the Body how Israel’s modern resurrection and its salvation is central to the preparation for Your Son’s return in glory (Zech. 12:2-10; Matt. 23:37-39; 24:30).
   • Lord God, show the Body that planting Israel back in its land is of supreme importance to You (Jer. 32:41); therefore they really need to pray for this – Your will – to be done on earth (Luke 11:2).
   • King Messiah, wake up the Body to intercede more often for Jews to make aliyah (Isa. 43:5-7).
   • Lord Yeshua, burden Your Body to also pray more often for all Israel to be saved (Rom. 10:1).
   • As Your Body intercedes for these issues, as well as all other topics, provide them with ammunition in the form of various verses from Your Word touching those prayers (Isa. 55:11).
   • God, may the Body fall in love with the truth of Your Word in 2025 (John 17:17; 2Thess. 2:10-12).
   • Lord Yeshua, provide Your Body with many more sons and daughters of Zion to help them grow to maturity and be fruitful in their individual ministries (Eph. 4:10-16).
   • Messiah Yeshua, cast out replacement theory from Your Body (Eph. 5:27; 1 Tim. 4:1), and remove as well all attitudes of Jew-hatred and Israel-hatred (Gen. 18:18; 22:18; John 4:22; Rom. 9:1-5).
   • Help the Body to know that You are still a Man of War today (Ex. 15:3; Isa. 42:13; Rev. 19:11-16).
10. IFI:

    With the attack by America on Iran and then the very sudden declaration by Trump of a “ceasefire” many of us ended up with mental and emotional “whiplash.” Please pray for us to be led in prayer by God’s Spirit and not by any inner turmoil that we experience. Also, we encourage you to tighten your seatbelts as the end-times roller-coaster is beginning to pick up speed!
