Israelis are expressing concern over a poll that young evangelical support of the Jewish state has dropped dramatically. Why is this happening? Christine Darg warns that a diluted watered down Bible results in a dangerous generation of Biblical illiterates.
I remember the year or two right before I was born again (2002-2003) I desired to know the truth about the Israeli/Palestinian feud. I sought out books by Thomas Friedman, David Grossman and others. I vividly remember reading a Time magazine that had Israeli tanks on the cover demolishing poor Palestinian settlements in Ramallah I think it was, totally portraying Israel as the aggressor. It would have been easy to conclude that Israel was the bad guy BUT God showed me the hidden things that the world did not want me to see. I think it takes a desire to know the truth and not simply believing what you want to believe to discern the situation over there. Trusting this world seems to be a fatal flaw for today’s Christian. Well anyway, I came to love Israel. A tough little cookie they are. And it will be glorious when they are redeemed!
Right on, Dustin!
Being a Gentile, the other half of the ‘body’ along with Jewish believers and Jesus Christ being the ‘Head’; I feel very fortunate! My heart’s full for thanks to our Father God, His Son Jesus Christ, and our Holy Spirit to depend on. We’re in His Kingdom of Heaven, in this world; but not of it any longer, being born again!
Hallelujah! Praise God Almighty, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit! The Word of God, (Who is Jesus, John 1:1-10) tells us all that we need to know for an incredible life to continue living here; and about the exciting hope in our ‘new future to come’ that He’s PROMISED! Just believe it’s real, it’s that simple. There’s many books from believing authors to help understand the Bible if anyone needs it;) The Bible is necessary living ‘in’ this world!
