The Trump Declaration

The Trump Declaration

Concerning President Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, an Arab friend wrote in frustration:

Balfour Declaration of 1917 and Trump Declaration of 2017

Similar words also came from the mouth of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today:

“There are great moments in the history of Zionism: the Balfour Declaration, the establishment of the state, the liberation of Jerusalem, and yesterday – the Trump Declaration,” Netanyahu said. “I told him ‘My friend, Mr. President, you are about to make history’, and yesterday he made history.”

Many are wondering about the timing of the decision, but Trump was encouraged by Pastor John Hagee, Governor Mike Huckabee and others to be sure to make the move within the Jubilee Year of 2017.

I also recalled the above black and white illustration that compared Britain’s Gen. Edmund Allenby’s capture of Jerusalem to the victory of the Jewish Macabees.

In fact, due to the timing of Trump’s announcement, the illustration is making the rounds on the Internet:

“This is amazing because what Trump has just done comes almost exactly 100 years from that moment you witness above (in the black and white Hannukah illustration),” commented Chris Moore, compiler of the Chrisifiles news service.

“From 1897, the first International Zionist Congress–where it all began— 50 years later–Jubilee– came the UN Vote for Israel; go forward 70 Years—2017.  The Bible is clear about the significance of the number 70 to do with Israel’s and Jerusalem’s captivity period and Daniel’s prophetic years.

“Then from 1917 to 1967—50 year- forward 50 more years to Trump’s announcement now 2017.”

US Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) also gave quite a summary, saying, “I enthusiastically commend President Trump for today’s courageous and heroic decision. Roughly 120 years since a pioneer of the Zionist movement, Theodore Herzl, convened the first Zionist Congress in Basel, 50 years since the reunification of Jerusalem during the Six Day War, and nearly 70 years after the United States was the first country to give recognition to the modern State of Israel, the President of the United States has for the first time formally recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. This day will forever be etched in the history books as one of the great moments in history. The strongest and most prosperous country in the world has rectified what has been a historic injustice for far too long, recognizing the ancient and sacred city that has been the eternal capital of the Jewish people for over 3,000 years, and the capital of the one and only Jewish State since 1948. This announcement recognizes the reality that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, and sends a powerful message that rejects all those who wrongly seek to delegitimize Israel through falsifying and erasing the profound ties that exist between the Jewish people and Jerusalem.”

Many Bible students and prophets have been comparing the 45th President, Donald J. Trump, to Cyrus the Great, the gentile ruler referred to in Isaiah 45, the only non-Jewish figure in the Bible as an “anointed one.” Cyrus respected the customs and religions of the lands he conquered. The Edict of Cyrus is part the biblical narrative about the Jews’ return to the land of Israel from Babylonian captivity.

Eschatologists are also pointing out that it was been 120 years since the first Zionist Congress in 1897 and 2017—the period of grace allotted by God in Noah’s day.

In his speech from the White House, Trump simply said,“Today I am delivering” the promise that his precedessors had also made. . . but failed to deliver.

Journalist Jack Engelhard wrote in Israel National News, “Indeed, mark Wednesday, December 6, 2017, 1 p.m., as a date that will live in glory between the two great powers of Liberty; the United States and Israel…owed largely through the grit and courage of this singular president, Donald Trump.”

The following quote is from an article written by “One  For Israel” with the headline “Jerusalem, 1917 AS FORETOLD IN THE BIBLE:”

Is it a coincidence that the Muslim authorities raised a white flag in Jerusalem, the city that God calls “Mine”? Jerusalem on the 24th of Kislev, (Dec. 9, 1917) was liberated, ending Islamic rule.

Moreover, even further back than Haggai, Daniel 12:12 also prophesied that there would be blessing for Jerusalem after “1335 days.” As one of the British officers was amazed to realize, the Islamic year in 1917 was 1335, since the Muslim (lunar) calendar started in 622. Keen observers of prophecy such as Dr. H. Aldersmith had already put the pieces together, and were expecting redemption and blessing for Jerusalem in 1917. The 1335 years were up. “Blessed is he,” writes Daniel, “who waits and arrives at 1,335 days.”

After 1335 years of Islam, the city of Jerusalem was delivered by the British using airplanes that “hovered like birds” on 24th Kislev in 1917.

‘WE’VE BEEN LIVING IN A DELUSION–‘Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton says President Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital is a good move that aids the pursuit of peace, does not concern America’s closest Arab allies and tells the world the president will do what he says he will do.

Bolton said the president’s action was simply a confirmation of reality.

“We’ve been living in a delusion by not acknowledging the fact that Jerusalem is Israel’s capital,” said Bolton. “Israel is probably the only country in the world where the American embassy is not in the capital city of the country to which our diplomats are accredited. What Trump did was nothing more or nothing less than making Israel the same as every other country where we’ve got an ambassador.”

Bolton said that in the seven decades of the modern Israeli state, it’s clear where the center of government is. But he added that Trump left room open for the Palestinians to still get some of what they want.

I believe President Donald Trump is an instrument of God. God Bless Israel and the USA and the U.K. I am an evangelical Christian and I thank and bless my God for the Lord Jesus Christ and that I am allowed to be a part of the Israel of God.
