Christine Darg: Between the period of current shakings and judgments in the Middle East and the Bible’s declared future blessings, we are challenged to do double duty by praying for Israel and also for our Christian brethren who are suffering immensely. Efforts in prayer are urgent because many of our political and spiritual leaders are out of touch with the Lord’s prophetic timeline.  Intercessors, let us pray the promises of Isaiah 19 for the nations and borders that God himself recognizes:

23 In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria. The Assyrians will go to Egypt and the Egyptians to Assyria. The Egyptians and Assyrians will worship together. 24 In that day Israel will be the third, along with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing on the earth. 25 The Lord Almighty will bless them, saying, “Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria my handiwork, and Israel my inheritance.”
