Jesus broke the pattern of the 49-day count of the omer in the Old Testament when he ascended to heaven on the 40th day after the Resurrection.

Christine Darg delves into this mystery of the omer–a topic that 99.9 per cent of the church has totally ignored. Yet the practice of counting the omer for 49 days is commanded in the Book of Leviticus, and Jesus as an observant Jew would have known about it.

What are the implications of this type and shadow of the Harvest and the order of the Resurrection–and does it have anything to do with the Rapture (translation) of the church?
