Many have no idea that Jesus’ Last Supper was a Passover seder meal. Christine Darg studies the secrets of the seder as revealed in the Gospels. The Lord’s last Passover was the most momentous since the Exodus, culminating in his Resurrection on the Biblical holiday of First Fruits.
Outstanding teaching, Christine. Thank you. It draws together the freedom of slavery for the children of Israel and redemption from sin of any sinner since the death burial and resurrection of Yeshua. The blood of the New Covenant has cleansed us from all sin, just as the blood of the lamb was the necessary symbol of release and emancipation of bondage for Israel. What an amazing Sacrifice was Jesus, the Lamb of God, for us captives of sinful humanity!
excellent! However Christine you left out that in its first place the last supper is a covenant between God (Yeshua and his bride, the believers. Please let Jewish teachers of customs of the day enlighten yo The sealing of the covenant with the body and blood of our Lord is basically because we are sinners and cannot uphold our side of the bargain. This last supper is to be done in remembrance of HIS carrying both sides of the covenant which we ourselves are unable to keep. The whole thing is a very involved event carrying every connotation required for our understanding of who we are to our GOD the Father.
This was a wonderful introduction to the mysteries of the Last Supper, covering so many aspects of its deep roots in Judaism.
It’s exciting that this year we have the same happy confluence of dates! We are holding a Welsh Passover Seder, to help those who have not been blessed with all these truths before.
Chag Pesach Sameach to all!
God bless your Welsh seder! We will miss you so very much here! Love, Christine
