Theologians are still debating what Jesus did while his body lay in the tomb, but the New Testament teaches that he descended into Hades and led out the Old Testament saints who were held captive in the compartment called Paradise and that Jesus preached there, taking the keys of death and Hades from Satan. A day of triumph!

What nonsense ! Jesus died for 3 days and 3 nights . If he didn’t really die then He was a fake , Old Testament saints still lie dead (asleep ) waiting the resurrection . Hebrews 11 states we will all receive the promise at one time the promise of eternal life because Christ actually died as a result of our sin so we who believe will live forever . The ppl that were since in jersulem that were resurrected were not raised to eternal life but to mortal life and all died again just as lazuras did .
REv.1:18,’the keys of hell and of death’ are the emblems of the right and authority Jesus now has over sin and death. The word of faith movement, the likes of Kenneth Hagin, Copeland etc., ‘preaches’ Jesus descent into hell because their heresy believes that he needed to ‘snatch’ the keys back from satan to become a God Man again. it’s really a form of new age metaphysics dressed in a type of Christian doctrine.
No point in arguing, after all who went to heaven or hell who returned to tell the story? Let our faith in Jesus Christ and our lords teachings guide us to eternal life.
